The best thing about SSIS packages using sql server is that the interface is so easy and user friendly to start with. You can create data flows, Automates workflows and integrates very well with microsoft technologies and .NET frameworks. Tons. We have several servers with various versions of Microsoft SQL Server Standard 2017 5 Device CAL Academic License installed, it's a great simple database with good backup capabilities etc. Write stored procedures to automate certain business cases that are routine.
The program itself is stable. It has the features needed to run queries and has suggestions when typing which is always useful (think of it as tab complete in Linux).
