Microsoft Windows Server 2008 License 1 device CAL Open License resembles the entire interface that anyone would find to be very familiar if they supported Server 2003. After finally getting used to the new metro theme interface of Windows which started with Windows 8, it's very pleasant to see something I recognize and know how to use once I saw what Server 2008 looks like. Most definitely loving the new JEA concept that Server 2008 has introduced. It's also great how much more friendlier Powershell has become and evolved so much over the years into what it is now. With Server 2006 now being on the market, I'm definitely going to push for Server 2008 to be the next server we purchase in my company for an upcoming server purchase we have coming up at work. I really love the new command prompt interface that's in Server 2008 that I only previously saw on Windows 10. Just like always, as with every release of the Server operating system, Microsoft has perfected something that was already pretty phenomenal piece of technology and my review represents sweepstakes entry.
I've been using Microsoft Windows Server 2008 License 1 device CAL Open License since NT and have always been happy with it. I have to admin, I'm also a huge fan of FreeBSD and Debian for their rock solid reliability, but when Microsoft introduced a Core version of Windows Server 2008, I knew things were coming along to try to truly compete directly with the open-source alternatives. Now that amazing server, with Windows Server 2008 technology, is coming to the forefront with .Net Core going hand-in-hand with it, I can't see many reasons not to switch back to 100% Microsoft solutions. Thanks Microsoft and thans My Choice Software, you're on the right track, keep it up but please lower the price, the server is ancient!
