Questions & Answers

Be the first to ask a question about this.
Its ability to upscale the Microsoft Windows Server 2019 Remote Desktop User CAL - Open Academic based on the needs of your applications. Need more CPU power and need it quickly without having to migrate information from one Virtual Machine to another or do complicated tasks? then this is what you need. We went quickly from a server with 4 cores, then needed to upgrade to 8, then 16 Cores for our applications as it is a very CPU intensive application and we need to make it work fast for the 200 users we have using it on one server (we have more than one), and all it needed was a quick restart.
Definitely have been enjoying my experiences with Microsoft Windows Server 2019 Remote Desktop User CAL - Open Academic thus far. It certainly made notable improvements to existing tech and added some new gems. Probably still a few months out from deploying to production environments, and waiting on a few more dependencies to be cleared up, but in general I have been very happy with the product and the teams efforts at improving it.
The Windows 10 look makes it feel more friendly plus it allows me to pin things to the start menu as tiles so they are easily accessible like Active Directory User and Computers, DNS and Network Policy Server. This makes it easy to log into the server get the job done and log off. I like all the additional 'guard' features getting added. Sometimes it can be pretty challenging to wrap your mind around everything that has to be checked and updated to keep your systems secure. The more Microsoft can build-in and add new features like these, the better off you'll be!
