Solid and Stable! VMware ESXi's free version is what got me started on virtualization. Compare to other hypervisors, I've never had a problem with ESXi, never had to reboot other than standard maintenance. Easily one of the most preferred hypervisor's out there and my go to for virtualization. I can say this for sure, I've never seen ESXi crash. VmwareVsphere With Operations Management Enterprise Basic Support Subscription 1 Year is my preferred virturalization platform due to how stable it is. I have never had to reboot a host unless I was doing an upgrade. Rock Solid.
VmwareVsphere With Operations Management Enterprise Basic Support Subscription 1 Year is hands down the best virtualization product out there. Based on linux operating system, which gives it a very solid base to operate on. I can't use any other virtualization product after using this. Always works is about all I need to say for it. A very stable platform, even in Beta. Works great for lab environments, even nesting ESXi inside it to simulate multi-host clusters all from your workstation. This is a wonderful hypervisor. I managed to deploy a dual host solution in under a couple of days (including migrating physical hosts). It was stable, fault tolerant, and fast. What more could you want. The licensing left a big to be desired especially when you consider the cost of hyper-v and XenServer.
I run the VmwareVsphere With Operations Management Enterprise Basic Support Subscription 1 Year version, and since virtualizing a single production server in my small business about 2 - 2.5 years ago, I have not had a single issue. I P2V'd the physical server and was amazed to see that none of my domain PC's even noticed that the server was now a VM. Since then I've experimented with many of the features, and while still being a newb, I find it incredibly stable and surprisingly capable. 2 thumbs up. My one small complaint might be WMware's forums/website can be a little daunting at times, when trying to look for a specific answer or resource.
