Microsoft Project 2013

Microsoft Project 2013 is a robust software package that will make project management a more efficient endeavor. Like other Project packages, the 2013 version is available in Standard and Professional formats. The standard edition includes many features that will allow the user to keep projects organized and on schedule. This software is ideal for project managers, as they can use Project 2013 to not only manage schedules and costs but to manage tasks and keep reports and business intelligence on their computer. The professional version allows for the use of Project Online, a cloud-based feature that provides full project management capabilities from a manager’s desktop and from almost anywhere on any device.

This version also integrates with SharePoint, allowing for the viewing of tasks within a project by all allocated team members. Project team members can also use this feature to record their time spent on a project and managers can easily retrieve these time sheets. Both versions of Project 2013 are available in a variety of license types. While the products are the same — with all software having the same functionality — the different license types give you options based on your business needs. For example, Project Professional 2013 Open License is a great option for larger companies with up to 250 computers. The open license allows companies to pay for licenses as needed. If the company has Project 2013 on 40 computers currently and expects to increase that number to 60 computers, the open license will allow for an easy transaction. With the open license, the company does not have to pay for 60 licenses upfront to later find out that only 40 were needed. On the other hand, a retail box is just what it appears; you get one software disc and an activation code for installation on your computer. Note that all of these software titles are new, have never been used and are guaranteed to be 100 percent genuine Microsoft software.
